An audio file obtained by TV2 Nord reveals that a municipal employee has urged Frederikshavn Port to withhold important information in a file access case. The recording casts new shadows over the case of Frederikshavn Port, which is under severe financial pressure and has a debt of almost 1.7 billion DKK. This is what TV2 Nord writes.
- I would be very happy if you did exactly as I have done, because then nothing would happen, nothing new would come out or anything, says the municipal employee in the recording.
Thomas Eriksen, who is the municipal director of Frederikshavn Municipality, acknowledges the seriousness of the case:
- The information you are providing affects me a lot. I won't say that I'm shocked or shocked because it will make headlines, but it's very serious, because you as a media outlet and everyone else should have what you seek access to within the framework of the law, and we have nothing to hide, he says.
The regional television station has been in contact with the municipal employee regarding the meeting at the port, but the employee denies that the meeting ever took place.
The media outlet has also tried to get a comment from Mayor Birgit S. Hansen (S), but she refers to municipal director Thomas Eriksen on the grounds that it is an administrative matter.
