After intense negotiations, TEKNIQ, the Danish Metal, Tin and Pipe Workers' Union and 3F Industri have agreed on a new collective agreement for employees in the metal industry. This is what TEKNIQ writes in a press release.
- The agreement ensures stability in a world where trade wars are increasingly creating uncertainty - especially for the exporting business community. This is not least true in industry, and therefore it is also absolutely crucial that we have now reached our goal with an agreement that sets a reasonable framework and increases flexibility in the companies, says CEO of TEKNIQ Troels Blicher Danielsen.
The trade unions are also satisfied with the new agreement.
- The agreement reflects that things are going well in the companies - it is only fair that our members feel it and get more money in their paychecks. At the same time, we get new rights to take time off with their families. And it is an important victory that the great efforts of the health and safety representatives are now being recognized with remuneration. They make a big difference to safety and well-being in the workplace, and that deserves respect, says Dansk Metal's head of negotiations Kasper Palm.
The agreement includes, among other things, an increase in the minimum wage of DKK 3.75 in 2025 and DKK 3.50 in 2026 and 2027. The employer's contribution to pension savings will be raised from 10 to 11 percent from 1 May 2025, while the total pension contribution will reach 13 percent.
In addition, the contribution to the free choice scheme will increase by 1 percentage point as of 1 March 2026 and as of 1 March 2027, while the payment rates for apprentices will increase by 4.0 percent in 2025 and 3.5 percent in 2027. in 2026 and 2027. Employees will also receive new rights to use the voluntary account for days off, including time off on a child's third day of illness and two annual grandchild care days.
Finally, occupational health and safety representatives will receive a salary of DKK 9,000 annually.
The agreement will now be voted on by the members before it can enter into force retroactively from March 1.
