Eurowind Energy will supply 70,000 MWh of green electricity annually to packaging company Faerch through a new 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA). The electricity will come from a future wind farm in Novogrodek, Poland, which is being developed by Eurowind Energy. The new agreement means that more than 85 percent of Faerch's electricity consumption in Poland will come from renewable energy sources by 2027, Eurowind Energy said.

- Faerch is a good example of how purchasing green electricity is a simple and effective way towards greater climate neutrality for a company. We continue to expand green power in our many upcoming parks and are therefore an obvious partner for companies like Faerch that are ambitious when it comes to climate goals, says Jesper Schaumburg-Düring, commercial director at Eurowind Energy.

The wind farm that will be delivered to Faerch is currently in the pre-construction phase, and the turbines, which will be delivered by Vestas, are expected to be operational in early 2027. Faerch already has PPAs in several countries and is working towards securing renewable energy for all its plants by the end of 2025.

- Our agreement with Eurowind Energy will give us access to a uniform and sustainable energy supply, which will help us reduce our CO2 footprint and support the energy transition in Poland. At the same time, the agreement is an important step in our goal to supply all our plants with more renewable energy through PPAs, says Tom Sand-Kristensen, Group CFO at Faerch.

Eurowind Energy emphasizes that the collaboration shows how companies can use green power as a direct path towards climate neutrality.
