Solid Energy A/S in Skjern has turned a deficit of 4.2 million DKK in 2023 into a profit of 2.5 million DKK in 2024. According to the company's director, the progress is mainly due to the sale of heat pumps. This is reported by Dagbladet Ringkøbing Skjern.
- It is 100 percent our heat pumps that are the reason for the result, says Jan Enemark, CEO of Solid Energy A/S.
The company sells heat pumps both in Denmark and in nearby markets such as England, Ireland and Germany. Exports to these countries began three years ago. Markets with a high interest in district heating are prioritized, while gas and biofuels are less in demand as energy sources.
Solid Energy has its headquarters and production in Skjern and supplies heat pump solutions to district heating plants, industry and other large heat consumers. In addition to heat pumps, household wind turbines are also produced, but demand has been low in recent years, partly due to low electricity prices and high interest rates.
2025 has started strongly for the company, and the order book is already well filled. Five to six new employees are therefore being hired, and there is potential for further growth as demand increases.
