Værftsejer Finn Jørgensen kom til Hanstholm i 1978, og siden har han opbygget et værft samt en udlejningsvirksomhed. Egentlig kom han til Hanstholm Havn med sin uddannelse som skibstømrer i bagagen fra Nykøbing Mors og ikke meget mere.
