There is speed in the green transition in Denmark, and Energinet has employed many new employees in recent years and is also expected to employ more in the future. Therefore, there is a need for more space at the head office in Erritsø near Frederiica, and that space is now one step closer, as NCC, which won the tender to expand the head office, broke ground on the construction in a ceremony on Monday.
- We have been looking forward to getting started. It will be an exciting and modern office. I hope that the building we are creating now will be as successful as the one you already have. I think you will be completely happy to enter your office, says Claus Heinze, who is senior project manager in NCC's construction unit in the West under Building Nordics, in a press release.
The building, which was designed by architects from C. F. Møller, was designed based on approx. 900 office workplaces. The new construction includes a connection between the existing domicile building and the new building on the ground floor, first floor, second floor and basement level, respectively, and a number of shared facilities such as a canteen, meeting room and outdoor space must be established. In total, the building contains 26,750 m2 including basement.
- We are looking forward to getting a new building so that we can once again gather all activities in the Fredericia area at the same location and at the same time create space for the continued growth of Energinet in order to fulfill our important societal task of supplying Denmark with electricity and gas and convert the energy system to green energy. A modern, attractive workplace today and in the future contributes to us being able to attract and assign qualified employees to solve our task, says Marianne Hansen, steering group chairperson for the project and director of Group Finance and Business Support at Energinet.
Energinet's new domicile must be ready for occupancy in the fourth quarter of 2026.
