Politi er til et muligt kemikalieudslip på universitet
There has been a possible chemical leak in a room at Aarhus University on Monday. The East Jutland Police wrote on the social platform X shortly before noon. It is a room in the Department of Bio- and Chemical Technology building 5250.
All people are out of the room and are being monitored. No one has been seriously injured immediately, the police say. There is no danger to people in the area, the police say, who ask people to respect the roadblocks at the site. As a result of the incident, the police are present on Hangøvej 2. Hangøvej is a northern access road to Vestre Ringgade.
- We have blocked off Helsingforsvej and Jens Baggesens Vej. There is one passable lane on Vestre Ringgade between Paludan-Müllers Vej and Langelandsgade, the police write on X.
It is not clear when the police received a report about the incident, or what led the university to suspect a chemical leak. There is no information about what chemical this may be.
