Bel Air Aviation A/S

Bel Air Aviation A/S is a Danish owned helicopter company with base at Esbjerg Airport. Bel Air was founded in 1994 by Susanne Hessellund. Since 2009 the company mainly operates within the offshore industry.

Bel Air is flying 365 days a year for the major oil and gas companies and windfarm projects – performing a 99,8% on-time punctuality. Bel Air also operates within cargo, and sling to both oil platforms, offshore windfarms and ships on ad hoc, short- and long term contracts.

Bel Air operates a modern fleet of state-of–the-art helicopters optimised to operate in the most difficult and harsh conditions. The fleet includes 3 twin-turbine helicopters type AW139, configured to carry 12 passengers and 2 AW189 twin-turbine helicopters configured to carry 16 passengers. These new generation helicopters comply with all new requirements and are certified according to the latest safety standards. Bel Air has passed more than 6000 flight hours on the new AW189 and is thus fleetleader worldwide.

Our company and team has been honoured with a number of awards, among others: Award from Maersk “Presented to Bel Air for excellent service”, Danish Gazelle, Danish Owner Management Award in 2014, Entrepreneur of the Year in category Growth 2014, and Esbjerg Business Award in 2015.
