Mayor: Offshore wind is the way forward for Østmøn

Klintholm Harbor is a service port for two wind farms, and this gives activity and potential to the port. However, the conversion from a fishing port to a wind port has also meant a change in appearance, which offends some locals.

Klintholm Havn er servicehavn for Danmarks største vindmøllepark, Kriegers Flak, samt den tyske park Baltic 2. Vattenfall ejer Kriegers Flak, mens Baltic 2 er ejet af tyske EnBW. Begge har et servicecenter i Klintholm. Vattenfall har lokale danske ansatte, og EnBW har tyske ansatte, der bor på medarbejderhotel lige ved havnen.
